JDM Freshman Prince Benjamin debuts as anchor for AUTV News Break

It is a long way from Ghana to Ashland, Ohio. For Digital Media Production major Prince Benjamin the trip from his native land to Ashland University is paying off. Prince made his debut as the weekly Wednesday anchor for AUTV News Break. He is already operating a game camera for JDM's AU footbal broadcasts and soon he will have an on-air radio shift for 88.9 WRDL. You can watch his first news show here.

WRDL, JDM Faculty, Staff and Students win 2026 AU Leadership and Service Awards

On Sunday April 19th, Journalism and Digital Media department students, staff, faculty and co-curricular media organizations were honored at the 39th Annual Leadership and Service Awards event. Here are the nominees and winners: WRDL 88.9 was the winner of the Student Organization of the Year Kelly Meyer was the winner of the Emerging Faculty Member of the year Dashia Johnson won the Community and Belonging award JDM nominees were----John Skrada, Derek Wood, Kelly Meyer, Dana Krukovska, Aubrey Wood, Drake Crumley, Taylor Davidson, Chaden Sampson,and Joe Monteith. Both AUTV and The Collegian were nominees for Student Organization of the Year.
