WRDL recognized for its 60th anniversary

60 years is a long time to rise from an upstart college radio station to an internationally-recognized award-winning one. Recently, the state of Ohio felt the same way. Senator Jon Hustead and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel met with WRDL Station Manager Derek Wood and station political correspondent Aidan Haggard to honor WRDL's 60 years of excellent service to both the campus and the greater community. WRDL, JDM Faculty, Staff and Students win 2026 AU Leadership and Service Awards

On Sunday April 19th, Journalism and Digital Media department students, staff, faculty and co-curricular media organizations were honored at the 39th Annual Leadership and Service Awards event. Here are the nominees and winners: WRDL 88.9 was the winner of the Student Organization of the Year Kelly Meyer was the winner of the Emerging Faculty Member of the year Dashia Johnson won the Community and Belonging award JDM nominees were----John Skrada, Derek Wood, Kelly Meyer, Dana Krukovska, Aubrey Wood, Drake Crumley, Taylor Davidson, Chaden Sampson,and Joe Monteith. Both AUTV and The Collegian were nominees for Student Organization of the Year.
